Our History
In 2005, Veronica Walters created T-Time as a peer-to-peer support group for "transsexuals and crossdressers" in the Grand Strand. For over 20 years, she worked to grow this small group, hosting picnics, holding an annual Trans Day of Remembrance, and participating in Pride while protesters outnumbered participants. T-Time gained it's nonprofit status in 2019, and expanded to having a Florence group, a non-binary and BIPOC group, game nights, and more.
Veronica passed away in March 2026. Today, we honor her legacy by continuing her work, giving transgender people and their allies a safe space to be themselves and find community with one another.
Mission and Vision
Our mission is to empower the transgender and non-binary communities of the Grand Strand and Pee Dee areas. In doing so, we work to end suicide within this community.
Our Commitment to Diversity
We welcome every member of the transgender, non-binary, intersex and gender-diverse community. We also include their family, friends, and allies from among the cisgender community.
We commit to continue learning so we can be anti-racist and anti-transmedicalist in our approach.
